Nashville Season 2 Premiere Sneak Peek: Deacon Can’t Wake Rayna Up (VIDEO)
We still have some 48+ hours to go before the premiere of Nashville Season 2 on Wednesday, September 25 at 10 p.m. ET, but to hold us over until the big reveal, ABC has gifted us with yet another clip of the season’s first episode. Be warned though, this one is a tear-jerker.
The clip (below) starts off as Deacon (Charles Esten) comes to after the car he was driving in crashed and flipped over in the Season 1 finale. Though injured Deke is alive and kicking, he is unable to wake Rayna (Connie Britton) up. He pulls her from the car before the clip flashes to the country queen lying unconscious in a hospital bed.
Once at the hospital, ailing Rayna is joined by her estranged husband Teddy (Eric Close) and daughters Maddie and Daphne (Lennon and Maisy Stella). As the doctors lower her sedation levels to run some tests, Rayna begins to open her eyes and flail around, frightening her girls.
Teddy tries to reassure them by saying that their famous mama is “fine,” but Maddie knows better. “No she’s not,” she cries.
Thankfully, we know Rayna makes a full recovery, but if you’re in the mood for a good cry then check out the emotional sneak peek below!
