Nashville Season 2: Rayna Will Make a Comeback, Says Connie Britton

Things aren’t looking great for country queen Rayna (Connie Britton) when Nashville’s Season 2 starts tonight, September 25, at 10 p.m. ET. Season 1 ended with a devastating car crash that will find Ms Jaymes in a coma, and although the situation looks dire, Connie assures fans of the hit ABC drama that Rayna will be making an epic comeback shortly.

We had a hunch that Rayna’s coma would be short-lived, but from what Connie’s saying, her on-screen counterpart will be stronger than ever once she’s out of the woods.

"Rayna goes through a rough patch at the beginning, but she does make a pretty great comeback," Connie tells E! Online. "I'll be excited when that happens and I hope fans will love it."

As we know, part of Rayna’s comeback will include starting her own record label, though it remains to be seen if that business venture will be a success.

And what about Rayna’s relationship with Juliette (Hayden Panettiere)? Connie notes that the two musicians will continue to have a "complicated dynamic." One that’s only likely to get more complicated when new Edgehill record exec Jeff takes a liking to Rayna but doesn’t seem to support Juliette.

Do you think the dueling country crooners will ever really get along? Vote below!

Nashville Season 2 premieres on September 25 at 10 p.m. ET.
