Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Season 1 Premiere Synopsis: “Down the Rabbit Hole”

It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to head down the rabbit hole with Alice in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and now the epic premiere is finally upon us Tonight, Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, we’ll meet the kooky cast of characters, and ABC has released the official synopsis so we know what to expect in the Season 1 premiere, “Down the Rabbit Hole.”

“Alice returns home to her father telling her that everyone thought she was dead. Her imaginative stories about a talking White Rabbit and a mystical place called Wonderland end up getting her admitted into an asylum where Dr. Lydgate convinces her to have a procedure that will allow her to forget her pain.

Right before the operation is set to take place, she is rescued by the Knave of Hearts who takes her to the rabbit who informs her that her true love Cyrus is still alive. As the trio then jumps into the portal returning to Wonderland, Alice sets out on a quest to find him but the villainous Jafar and the Red Queen have other plans for her.”

It sounds like Jafar and the Red Queen will be hot on Alice’s trail in the premiere. There’s nothing we love more than a good showdown, which is prominent on co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis’s original show, Once Upon a Time.

Does this mean that Jafar and the Red Queen are Rumplestiltskin and the Evil Queen’s OUATiW counterparts? We’re shaking in our boots just thinking about it. If this isn't enough intel to tide you over, we've rounded up what to expect, five reasons to tune in, and even found the first 20 minutes for you to watch now on!

Are you excited for Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? Sound off below, and catch the premiere tonight, Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
