Which Teen Mom Wedding Theme Do You Prefer — Underwater or Cowboy? (PHOTOS)
This past summer, two of our favorite Teen Moms got married to their Prince Charmings… for the second time… while pregnant with their second kiddos. Yeah. Teen Mom 3’sMackenzie Douthit walked down the aisle on August 17 to marry her rodeo stud Josh McKee, and just over a month later, Teen Mom 2’s Kailyn Lowry and airman hubby Javi Marroquin tied the knot. While these two ladies had much in common, their weddings were completely different.
Kail’s known for her obsession with mermaids — c’mon, haven’t you seen the tattoo and uber-long mermaid hair down her back?! — so it was no surprise to us that this Pisces opted for an underwater-themed wedding at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. This little lady was surrounded by all kinds of sea life and even had purple-colored fondant starfish trailing down her 4-tiered wedding cake. The table was decorated with seashells and glass crystals. We can only image that they guests felt like they were celebrating in an underwater kingdom.
Macks, on the other hand, loves all things country. Thank goodness Josh is the same way! This little lady married her guy at The Barn at Timber in Pittsburg, Kansas. The theme was totally rodeo, as the men all wore white shirts with vests, Stetson hats, and denim jeans. The gals of the wedding party rocked cowboy boots, and Mackenzie and Josh’s cake seemed to express their personality, with half the cake covered in white frills and the other in camo — while the table was decorated with mason jar glasses. We can only imagine that guests line danced the night away to the tunes of Blake Shelton.
When it came to picking our favorite wedding theme, we were at odds. We totally liked the liveliness of Mackenzie’s sunny country nuptials, but we also loved the serene and romantic feel of Kail’s underwater gala. Either way you look at it, each wedding suited the bride’s personality. And as you know, what the bride wants, the bride gets!
