Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 Spoilers: Shonda Rhimes Talks Writing Cristina’s Exit

Ever since we found out this summer that Season 10 will be Sandra Oh's last on Grey's Anatomy, we've been trying to figure out how Cristina will make her grand exit. Will she follow an awesome new job opportunity out of Seattle? Or will creator (and part-time fictional character serial killer) Shonda Rhimes follow tradition and give Cristina the (literal) axe? We're dying to find out.

One person knows the answer — and she's not talking. But what Shonda will admit is that we've got plenty of time left to spend with Cristina while she's still around.

"It's the back half of the season," Shonda told TV Guide of Cristina's departure. "We have 22 episodes to really enjoy Cristina and love her, so we're just going to enjoy ourselves doing what we're doing now."

Either way, we already know we can expect an awesome season for Cristina. When Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) visited The View on September 23, she promised that we'll get to see Sandra Oh's "best acting season ever" and that she's planning to "go out with a bang."

Um, not a literal bang, okay, Shonda? We're still not over the deaths of Mark and Lexie over a year ago. Our hearts can't take it!

How do you think Cristina will make her exit from Grey's Anatomy? Let us know what you think below!
