We’re super psyched for Season 4 of The Walking Dead to debut in just eight days, but someone who is equally excited for the season opener is none other than one of the show’s stars, Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon). For months now, Norman has been hyping up this season, even calling the show’s “best yet,” and his excitement isn’t letting up anytime soon.
"This season's by far the best season. The writing is by far the best writing we've ever had," Norman gushed to E! News. "This season's nuts. It's going to blow people away."
Though Norman opted to keep the reason for his jubilation over Season 4 under wraps, that won’t stop us from speculating why the actor is so pleased with the upcoming eps.
For starters, we know that in addition to that looming “new threat,” walkers will be badder than ever. For a trained hunter like Daryl who knows his way around walker guts, this is like an early Christmas present.
What’s more? Many have speculated that the sexual tension between Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) will finally come to a head this season, which would mean Daryl is headed for his first-ever on-screen relationship. After three seasons it’s about time!
Fierce walkers and a lil’ lovin’ on the side? Norman is right, Season 4 is awesome!
The Walking Dead Season 4 premieres on October 13 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
