Connie Britton Talks Friday Night Lights Movie — Is Kyle Chandler Against It? (VIDEO)
Fans on the NBC-turned-DirecTV drama Friday Night Lights have been holding out for a movie since the show ended its storied run in 2011, and although FNL alum and current Nashville star Connie Britton (Rayna Jaymes) said just last August that she had a script for a potential movie, the show’s big screen plans seem to have hit another snag.
During an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 7, Connie revealed the reason for the holdup. “I love the idea [of a movie], I think it would be a great idea,” Tami Taylor’s portrayor began. “But my former husband coach Eric Taylor…”
Though Connie didn’t complete this awful, awful sentence, Andy found the words for her.
“He thinks you did it already,” Andy said with a smile.
Connie confirmed as much, later clarifying that she and Kyle Chandler would only reunite if “it was going to be a great movie.”
Oh Kyle, we only have six words for you: “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.”
Are you surprised that Kyle is the reason for the FNL movie holdup? Watch the full clip below and share your thoughts!
Nashville airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
