The Originals Spoilers: Rebekah’s “Deeply Personal” Reason to Come to New Orleans

If there’s one thing the October 3 premiere of The Originals was missing (besides new footage) was more Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt). The blonde bombshell was missing for the majority of the episode, though she did make a few appearances while on the phone with brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

Lucky for us, Episode 2 (titled “House of the Rising Son”) promises to have more Rebekah action. But what’s her motivation to join her brothers in New Orleans — besides Elijah’s persistent pleading? It sounds like she’s got plenty motive to move to the Big Easy.

“She will get involved, and more importantly, she will have reason to get involved very soon,” executive producer Michael Narducci told TVLine. “And not perhaps the reason you might expect. Not the baby reason. Other reasons, one which is deeply personal to her and one that is shocking.”

So what is Rebekah’s reason for leaving Mystic Falls behind? Well, we don’t know for sure, but we’re thinking she has a few tricks up her sleeve. While she’s fulfilling Elijah’s wish to have his family start over again, Rebekah has never been one to give in — and she won’t let anyone, including Klaus (Joseph Morgan) stand in her way.

What do you think Rebekah’s reason for coming to New Orleans is? Tune in tonight, October 8, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW for a new episode of The Originals!
