Kate Walsh Cast in FX’s Fargo — She’s Coming Back to TV!

Good news, Addison fans! Kate Walsh is coming back to TV, but she'll be far from the emerald hills of Seattle or the sunny climes of Los Angeles. Instead, she might be be wading through knee-high snow in Minneapolis! Deadline reports that the 45-year-old actress has been cast in FX's drama Fargo.

The 10-episode series is inspired of the 1996 crime film by the same name, written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. In the movie, a pregnant Minneapolis police chief investigates a string of deaths, tracing them back to the hit men a failing auto salesman hired to kidnap his wife (with the promise that they'd split the ransom the wife's wealthy father would pay).

The film starred Frances McDormand, William H. Macy, Steve Buscemi, and Peter Stormare — and earned Academy Awards for Frances and the Coen brothers, along with five more nominations.

This forthcoming FX adaptation — for which the Coen brothers will exec-produce — will feature a new story and new characters, including Kate as Gina, a "trophy wife-type and reluctant mother of twin sons." An FX press release also reveals that the character is a "former stripper." (Love it!)

She joins previously-announced cast members Billy Bob Thornton (Monster's Ball), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit), Colin Hanks (Dexter), Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad), and Oliver Platt (The Big C), among others.

Are you excited for her TV comeback, or would you still prefer her to return to her neonatal scrubs? Let us know below.
