Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars 2013: Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy Plan Saved by the Bell and Showgirls Routines

Saved by the Bell ended its run in 1993, so it’s the perfect time for a 20-year reunion. We may even see it happen on Dancing With the Stars Season 17!

Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy are tied at the top of the judges’ Leaderboard after Week 4, which sounds impressive if you forget that her old Saved castmate, Mario Lopez, got 9s on Season 3, Week 1 and had 10s by Week 4. Showoff!

Elizabeth was just on Mario’s entertainment news program Extra and said she and Val have Samba for Week 5, which is Most Memorable Year night. The DWTS pair danced a little tease, then Mario showed he’s still got it by stepping in to dance with Elizabeth himself.

Mario and Elizabeth are clearly still good friends, and she told Life & Style her Saved co-stars will be in the audience at some point this season, including not just Mario but potentially Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Val’s old favorite, Tiffani Thiessen.

Val also told Life & Style they are planning DWTS routines inspired by both Saved by the Bell and Elizabeth’s movie Showgirls. “We have some surprises in store — some iconic somethings!’” Elizabeth teased to the mag.

Are you so excited to see a Saved or Showgirls dance? How about a mini Saved by the Bell reunion in the ballroom? Sound off below!
