Jenelle Evans’s Ex Courtland Rogers to Be Incarcerated For Nine Months
Bad news, gang. Jenelle Evans's estranged husband, Courtland Rogers, is back in the Brunswick County Jail, and we can only assume that scabies infestation is imminent. This wayward soul turned himself into the police after falling off the wagon and relapsing during his probation, and his girlfriend, Samantha Ferrell, has the deets.
Samantha spoke with PEPTALK Blog Radio to dish about Courtland's arrest and relapse, and says that he's willing to pay the price for his mistake.
“We were driving and [Courtland] already had intentions of going to talk to his P.O. [probation officer],” Samantha explained. “He knew that he wasn’t going to pass the drug test … So that’s where we were [going] and a cop pulled up behind us and pulled us over.”
Courtland wasn't arrested, but the officer asked him to meet his probation officer at the local jail.
“When he went in he was honest about everything,” Samantha revealed. “I guess she just went ahead and violated him.”
Sadly, Samantha confirmed that Courtland will be in jail for nine months. He could get out on a $2,000 bond, but apparently he'd rather stay behind bars and sober up.
"When I talked to him, he just told me pretty much to save that money and just let him do his time and get out because when he gets out he doesn’t have — he’s not going to have parole or no dumb s—, like he’s out," Samantha explained. "He can move, he can do whatever he wants to do. And he’ll be sober. That’s nine months of his life being sober.”
Sounds like Courtland's making a wise decision, though this means he won't get to see his daughter, JaJa, for almost an entire year.
“I know that he’s a good person when he’s sober, and that’s what he wants for himself," Samantha said, adding that she plans on waiting for Courtland until he escapes from the clink in July 2014.
