Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Season 3, Episode 3 Burning Questions

We love all of Once Upon a Time’s many, many mysteries, but sometimes it seems like each episode introduces more questions than answers. To that end, we’ve tackled the 10 biggest questions from this week’s episode in order to make sense of everything that happened.

Here are 10 burning questions from Season 3, Episode 3: “Quite a Common Fairy.”

1. How does Hook know Tinkerbell?

There’s a lot of Neverland backstory on this show that we still haven’t seen, which includes an apparent past between Hook and Tink. Does this mean that Hook and Tink used to date? Perhaps the Hook-Emma-Neal love triangle just got another participant. Then again, maybe Hook and Tink’s history revolves around pixie dust, since he knew she had access to it.

2. Will anything happen between Mulan and Aurora?

Perhaps the writing was on the wall about these two, but we were still surprised by Mulan’s almost-declaration of love for Aurora, given we assumed she had the hots for Phillip. So will anything happen between these gals? We’re guessing not, now that Aurora is preggers with Phillip’s baby. But Mulan and Aurora are super cute together, so anything’s possible.

3. When will Regina and Robin Hood find each other?

We’ve been waiting a long time for Regina to get another love interest, not that we’ll ever adore anyone as much as her last love interest. (Translation: Come back to us, Graham!) But we’re love the idea of Regina and Robin together, since they’ve both lost special someones: Daniel and Marian, respectively. So when will they hook up? And by the way, Tink blames Regina for Robin not having love, but Blue Fairy deserves some blame, too, no?

4. Can Emma’s magic help David’s wound?

Regina discusses combining her powers with Emma’s this week, so we keep assuming Emma will somehow manage to save her dad’s life from that poison-arrow wound. And Emma better act quickly, as Hook only gives David a few weeks to live not that we really trust Hook’s medical expertise. We just hope dark magic isn’t required to save David. And why doesn’t David tell Snow about his injury already?!

5. Will Neal be able to convince Henry to leave Neverland?

Tink predicts that Henry won’t want to leave Neverland once they find him, and sure enough, Henry has been doing some male bonding with his new buddies. Still, we’re inclined to believe Henry seeing his dad will be enough to convince him to leave. We’re also thinking Gold will be instrumental in finding Henry and getting him back. Who says no to Gold?

6. Will Regina soon be a mom for Roland?

With Neal and Emma both currently on the same (totally bizarre) island as Henry, chances are that they’ll be reunited as a family soon enough. So where does that leave Regina? Looks like she’s the odd mayor out. That’s why we love the idea that she may soon get the opportunity to raise Robin Hood’s cutie-patootie son Roland. Make it happen, OUAT!

7. Has Tink been teaming up with Peter Pan?

In this season’s first episode, Pan somehow has access to pixie dust, as he gives Henry some. Does this mean he got the magic dust from Tink, and if so, has Tink been teaming up with him? Even though Tink lost her wings, she still appears to be able to get pixie dust, given that Hook knew she would have some. So we wonder if she was Pan’s supplier. Either way, she definitely looks like she’s been up to no good lately.

8. When will Snow learn about David’s wound?

We’re not looking forward to seeing Snow’s reaction to David’s injury, especially after her incredibly heartfelt speech this week about what David means to her. Still, we hate the idea of Snow being in the dark about it, and we also like that Hook knows about it and can provide David with comfort. So hurry up and spill the beans to Snow already, David!

9. When will we meet Aurora and Phillip’s baby and learn its identity?

The show keeps barely teasing us about Aurora and Phillip’s relationship, like about how they’re now expecting a baby. Pass out the cigars! But will we see the baby, and will the little tyke have a fairy-tale identity? To be honest, we’re even more curious to learn why exactly Phillip is back to his walking and talking self, given his bout with the wraith. Fill us in, OUAT.

10. Will Emma and Hook ever hook up?

There is continued chemistry between Emma and Hook, as Regina adorably refers to Hook as Emma’s “boyfriend” this week. But will the Emma-Hook flirting come to a halt when she sees Neal? And speaking of Neal, when you ride an evil shadow somewhere, do you have to pay the evil shadow a tip like you do a taxi driver? We just want to know proper shadow-riding etiquette, in case we ever ride one.
