The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead Season 4: When Does the Mid-Season Finale Air?

We know, we know, it’s way too soon to be thinking about The Walking Dead’s mid-season finale, but when your entire season consists of only 16 installments broken up into eight-episode halves, it’s kind of a hard thing to ignore.

As (we hope) you are aware of, TWD kicked off Season 4 on October 13 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. The good news is that the show is scheduled to air consecutively for the next seven weeks, but the bad news is that this means we already know that the Season 4 mid-season finale will air on December 1. What a rotten early Christmas present!

Check out our breakdown below:

Episode 1: Sunday, October 13 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 2: October 20 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 3: October 27 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 4: November 3 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 5: November 10 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 6: November 17 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 7: November 24 at 9 p.m. ET

Episode 8: December 1 at 9 p.m. ET

Despite this bad news, Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) has already called the mid-season finale “painful” meaning that we are in for quite a treat on the first day of December.

After December 1 TWD will take an extended hiatus (boo!) before returning sometime in early February with eight all-new episodes.

Are you surprised that we’ll already be halfway done with TWD Season 4 by December 1? Share your sadness below.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
