But why is the traditionally Wednesday/Thursday show coming back on a Tuesday? It's just one of the many wonky scheduling changes unique to this first week X Factor is back. Thanks, MLB World Series.
Tonight’s two-hour show will feature the Top 16 acts before the judges whittle the pool down to 12. The next night — Wednesday, October 30 — an encore of the previous night’s episode could be preempted by Game Six of the World Series. Then, on Halloween if there’s no MLB Game Seven, Fox is slated to air a brand new one-hour episode titled “Meet The Top 12 Finalists.” That’s three potential nights of The X Factor this week alone!
We’ll be back to the standard two nights a week starting Wednesday, November 6, as the contestants from each group — Boys (Paulina), Girls (Demi), Over 25s (Kelly), and Groups (Simon) — vie for a spot on the two-part finale scheduled for December 18 and 19. It was so difficult for the judges to pick the best of the best during Four Chair, we can hardly imagine the tough choices ahead!
