Even if you’re not an avid watcher of Duck Dynasty (fix that, fix that right now) you likely know at least a few things about the A&E hit series. First, the show’s about a family. Second, this family got very rich making something in the sporting goods industry (duck calls). Third, this very rich family has an excessive amount of facial hair.
But lo and behold, the Robertson family didn’t always shy away from razors. A new photo of the flock features some of the head mallards with completely clean-shaven faces. We couldn’t believe it either.
The photo was taken more than a decade ago back in 2001, long before Duck Dynasty proved how surprisingly lucrative the duck call business can be. (The Robertsons will pull in an estimated net amount of $45 million this year alone, according to the Life & Style report.)
Although the multi-millionaires now cultivate a certain woodsy image complete with full beards and a fondness for cameo, a source tells Life & Style they’re still the same tight knit and loving family.
“They’ve all stayed pretty much the same over the years, even with the fame and fortune,” says the source. “They’re all so grounded.”
