Just one day after news broke that longtime couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard had finally tied the knot, the House of Lies actress confirmed their nuptials on Twitter.
“Wife coffee tastes way better than regular coffee in the morning :),” she wrote, tagging her hubby’s account in the post.
Seeing as how Bell proposed to Dax via Twitter earlier this year, it’s only fitting that she would confirm their wedding in the same way!
ORIGINAL STORY (October 17, 2013):
It's official! Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are a married couple, according to a TMZreport. Wait? They weren't already. Yeah, we know. These two funny folks have been together so long — they started dating in late 2007 and welcomed daughter Lincoln in March 2013 — it seems like they've been hitched for years.
When they did decide to make it official, Kristen and Dax went for a no muss, no fuss approach by getting married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk Office. According to TMZ, a photographer was on hand and the happy bride shed some tears during the ceremony.
Originally, the plan was reportedly for Kristen and Dax just to get their marriage license today, but then a court employee offered to host a ceremony right then and there. Clearly unable to wait any longer, Kristen and Dax said their "I dos" and there you have it!
We've been hoping to hear of a Bell-Shepard wedding ever since Kristen popped the question earlier this year. (Well, technically the couple announced their engagement in January 2010 but waited to wed until same-sex couples could, too.) Once the Supreme Court ruled to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, Kristen re-proposed via Twitter.
"@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove," she tweeted June 26. He said yes, we said yes, the whole world said yes to these two putting a ring on it.
