Glee Vet to Appear on Drop Dead Diva — With a Scandalous Photo Problem!

Glee’s cast is so packed with talented folks that its non-lead actors frequently get poached by other shows. Think Grant Gustin (Sebastian) joining Arrow as The Flash. Or Nolan Funk (Hunter) on Awkward, Jayma Mays (Emma) on The Millers, and Mike O’Malley (Burt) on Welcome to the Family. The list goes on and on and now it just got longer!

Lindsay Pearce got her start on The Glee Project Season 1, and she won a role on Glee as one of the season’s runner-ups, along with Alex Newell (Unique). In two Glee Season 3 episodes, Lindsay played Harmony, the overachieving member of The Unitards who meets Rachel and Kurt at a mixer for potential NYADA students. Plus, Harmony can rock a beret like nobody’s business.

Sadly, Harmony didn’t join New Directions as Unique did, and so we didn’t get to see Lindsay for more than those two episodes. But it appears that people in the industry like what they saw, as Lindsay is busier than ever these days.

In her latest gig, Linds can be see this Sunday, October 20, on Lifetime’s hit dramedy Drop Dead Diva. According to a press release, she plays a teen actress “whose reputation is put at risk after a risqué photo is taken of her.” Ah, the dangers of sexting. And so Lindsay joins an elite group of people who have guested on this show, joining the likes of Kim Kardashian.

This isn’t Lindsay’s only recent role. She has a part in the upcoming comedy Mantervention, a movie about a guy who turns to debauchery to get over an ex. And she nabbed a role in the upcoming filmThe Wedding Ringer, along with Kevin Hart, Kaley Cuoco, and Josh Gad. Nice! Apparently, Lindsay has a knack for getting cast in films that use wordplay in the title.

So we’re bummed that we don’t get to see Lindsay hanging with the Glee gang every week. But we’re thrilled that Glee was not the end of her path, and we can’t wait to see Drop Dead Diva this weekend. Go, Lindsay!
