If Scott Eastwood lands the part of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, it could be a role as iconic as those filled by his father: film legend and five-time Oscar winner Clint Eastwood.
And he might be a frontrunner for the plum part. JustJared.com cites a source who says that the hunky 27-year-old is "one of five actors being considered."
As you may recall — if you have a pulse — Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the project earlier this month. Rumor has it that the producers are also considering Alexander Skarsgard, Jamie Dornan, and François Arnaud.
Scott, meanwhile, is simultaneously playing coy and trying bolster fan support. "What is all this talk about Fifty Shades of Grey?" he asked on Twitter. "What do you all think? Let me know."
Well played, sir. Well played.
Scott has appeared in four films in which his dad has been before and/or behind the camera: Flags of Our Fathers, Gran Torino, Invictus, and Trouble With the Curve. His other film credits include You Got Served — nice! — Pride, Texas Chainsaw 3D, and the upcoming Fury.
Next year, he'll star in NBC's Chicago Fire spinoff Chicago PD, set to premiere mid season.
So he's got the pedigree and a fair amount of experience, but can you envision him as the kinky billionaire? Let us know below!
