Maybe Bill and Emma should thank DWTS for messing up the phone numbers last week. However this was supposed to shake out, they’re just grateful to be here. "I thank them for making the decision that they did,” Bill told On the Red Carpet. “But I had looked at Emma, I said 'Look, if this is the last [night], I have no regrets. I had the best time of my life.’ And then when they said we were safe, it was like a sick way to do it, but I'm so happy that we get one more week to dance together." They could have more than one week. Heck, for all we know they were never really the “bottom” couple this week. That was never made clear.
Emma said she can't believe they made it to Week 7 — and she can't believe she cried so much on national television. Bill joked that his ripping his shirt off is really what made her cry.
We could forgive Corbin Bleu if he wanted to cry after dancing his heart out to the theme to his favorite show, Game of Thrones, only to tie for the lowest individual score of the night. The judges didn’t reward his Viennese Waltz passion, but he and Karina Smirnoff earned extra points when they won the first round of the Switch-Up Challenge.
Corbin told On the Red Carpet, “The scores hurt, [but] it was wonderful redemption to feel that we had those four extra points from the challenge." He and Karina didn't realize they won at first, they were just lost in the moment together. "I'm just living on the dance floor, man. I'm having fun." As he noted, "If you're not having fun, why are you doing this?" Good question.
Two people clearly having fun are Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd. They talked to On the Red Carpet about the non-elimination, and they’re both “absolutely” glad that no one left. "I really think this is kind of my favorite cast,” Peta said. “I really love this cast." Brant turned to her. “Really? Hmm. ’Cause of me?” She made an inch with her fingers, like "a little bit."
Are you glad no one went home this week? Doesn’t that mean that, at some point, they’ll have to make up for it with a double elimination? Would that be worth it, just to keep this group for another week? Share all of your thoughts below!
