Naya Rivera Reacts to Glee Ending: We’ve Had a Good Run
It seems more likely than not that Glee is calling it quits after Season 6 wraps in the spring of 2015 and while we’re utterly heartbroken, the series’s stars are taking the news in stride.
Naya Rivera (Santana), who is currently busy promoting her first solo album, was asked about Glee’s end by Access Hollywoodon Monday and said she’s actually at peace with the decision to end the series after Season 6.
“I think we’ve had a really good run on the show,” Naya said. “I think that all good things must come to an end, I’ll just be grateful that I was even on it.”
Naya was also asked about Glee’s emotional Cory Monteith tribute episode, in which she sang a heartbreaking rendition of “If I Die Young” by the Band Perry.
“It was really difficult, it brought tears to my eyes,” she said. “It was definitely tough, but all in all, I think it was a great episode. I’m really proud of everybody."
While her time on set has been undeniably emotional lately, the actress also has a lot to look forward to. Naya recently became engaged to her boyfriend, rapper Big Sean, who she had been dating since April. The actress has already been spotted searching for wedding dresses with cast member Kevin McHale.
