Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene) and Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee) recently stopped by Larry King Now and told us all about Season 4 of The Walking Dead. We’re already preparing ourselves accordingly for an upcoming sex scene involving the engaged couple, but could their upcoming wedding be in jeopardy?
When host Larry King asked if the lovebirds are altar bound, Lauren replied, “We got engaged…” to which Steven added, “Less than an engagement I think it was more of a bond...they don’t need a fancy wedding.”
Speaking of a wedding, both Steven and Lauren seemed to hint that Maggie and Glenn’s nuptials won’t be occurring in Season 4.
When Larry specifically said that there was “no marriage in the fourth season” both actors quickly agreed...but then backtracked! “Right...but we don’t know,” Lauren offered. “I know nothing,” Steven added after he also seemed to confirm that a wedding isn’t in the cards this season.
If you ask us, it seems like both actors got caught up in the interview and forgot that they couldn’t spill any wedding details, but the more important question is why there are no nuptials. Is it possible that Glenn dies, a la the comics? Does Maggie meet an early demise?
When Larry moved on and asked if a baby was part of Glenn and Maggie’s storyline, the actors wised up and kept it more cryptic. “Watch and find out,” Steven said.
Do you think Glenn and Maggie’s wedding is really doomed, or were Lauren and Steven just having some fun with Larry? Weigh in below!
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
