Nina Dobrev may often flex her self defense muscles on The Vampire Diaries, but in real life, she’s sweet as pie… most of the time. Yesterday, she got in a fist fight with one of her co-stars, though it was far less bloody than her feuds on the hit CW show.

On October 24, Nina shared a photo of Rick Cosnett (Dr. Wes Maxfield) “punching” her chin while she slams him in the side of his head. She’s making a quasi-intense face while he looks a bit wide-eyed, making it even better than a real fight.

“It's a @ninadobrev day today and we're gonna smash it up #TVD #drwesmaxfield,” he wrote. Nina retweeted it, writing, “Totally smashing it!” with the amazing pic.

So far, we haven’t seen Wes and Elena interact much on TVD — the mysterious doctor kicked them out of his Microbiology class, but Caroline is trying to get in again — but considering they think he has something to do with their roommate Megan’s death and he gives her a chilling message in Season 5, Episode 5 (“Monster’s Ball”), Elena may just punch him on the show. It will likely be less cute and more violent than when Nina does it.

Either way, we love seeing new cast members bond on set. They’re clearly having a great time together, and it doesn’t hurt that Rick is easy on the eyes. Just sayin’.

What do you think of Nina and Rick’s punching party? Sound off below, and catch The Vampire Diaries on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
