The Vampire Diaries Sneak Peek: Season 5, Episode 5 — Elena Feels Guilty (VIDEO)

In the most recent episode of The Vampire Diaries, the Mystic Falls gang learned about Bonnie's death and gave her an emotional send-off on Remembrance Day. But despite Damon's best efforts, Elena is still reeling from Bonnie's death in Season 5, Episode 5 ("Monster's Ball") — and she's more determined than ever to get to the bottom of Megan's death.

In this sneak peek from the episode, Elena and Damon attend the Whitmore Historical Ball dressed as Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, but Elena isn't down for dancing. "Bonnie died, three months ago. And what was I doing? I was having the time of my life with you." Ouch, Elena!

Damon tries to tell her "guilt can be a royal bitch" and that she shouldn't feel guilty for being happy (after all, Jeremy was the one lying to them all summer). "I know that it's not my fault Bonnie died, but it is my fault for not figuring it out sooner... I'm not going to let Megan's death fall through the cracks too."

We all know Damon would do anything to make Elena happy, so her guilt trip is probably what inspires his crazy plan to bring Bonnie back to life. Watch the sneak peek for Season 5, Episode 5 ("Monster's Ball") below, and tell us what you think in the comments below!
