Dancing With the Stars Season 17 Week 7: Best and Worst Performances
Dancing With the StarsSeason 17 is past its halfway mark, and the competition is getting crazy tight. Week 7 brought us an unexpected and disappointing elimination (miss you already, Snooki!), some crazy team dances, and performances that ranged from great to middling.
So, who's still headed for the top as the competition gets fierce, and who's starting to struggle? We've made our picks for best and worst of the night. Check them out below, then sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
Best: Amber Riley and Derek Hough, Paso Doble
Injuries? What injuries? Amber and Derek may have struggled in rehearsals, but their performance was nearly flawless. Amber captured the spirit of the Paso Doble better than almost any other star we've seen on the show, and for that she earns our top pick of the night.
Honorable Mention: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff, Cha-Cha-Cha
It took Karina all week to settle on the choreography for this dance, but all the angst and indecisiveness paid off in a stellar performance that mixed near perfect Cha-Cha with some friskier gyrating (sorry, Len, we like it!). Bravo!
Worst: Team Foxing Awesome
Sorry, but what dance were the judges watching? The quality of movement in this performance was high, but the whole thing came together as a giant mess that left us scratching our heads, and not in a good way. Those costumes. Why?
Dis-honorable Mention: Bill Engvall and Emma Slater
We could not love this pair more, but there's no question that this was just not Bill's dance. He tried, but his Quickstep lacked the "quick."
Who were your favorite and least favorites of the night? Let us know in the comments below.
Dancing With the Stars Season 17 airs on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
