Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron Starring in a New Thriller — With THIS Gossip Girl Star!

Former Glee star Dianna Agron’s (Quinn) film career keeps moving full speed ahead, as she is about to star in a new thriller. Also starring in is a hot guy from one of our other favorite teen dramas of recent years. Translation: Quinn, meet Chuck from Gossip Girl!

Dianna’s new movie — which begins production next month — is called A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, according to Variety. It’s an indie movie that centers on a former Wall Street whiz who rounds up a group of outcasts to save the world’s economy from a potential cyber attack. We’re assuming Dianna will play one of the aforementioned outcasts.

Dianna is joined by quite the star-studded cast, which includes Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl fame, Minnie Driver, Maggie Q, and John Leguizamo. It is being produced by a producer of recent hit The Butler. Speaking of Ed, many Fifty Shades of Grey readers felt he should have played Christian Grey, but we’re thinking this movie might be a suitable consolation prize.

It’s awesome that Dianna keeps getting roles in intriguing films, and indeed this is her first gig since switching agents earlier this month. We thought her last movie, mob dramedy The Family — which came out last month and starred Robert De Niro — would be big, but it kind of fizzled. The same could be said for Dianna’s 2011 effort, I Am Number Four.

So we’re hoping for the best for this one, and we’re thinking that the real-world implications could give it plenty of buzz. We’re definitely in need of more Dianna and Ed in our lives, with Gossip Girl now off the air, and Dianna presumably gone for good from Glee. Make us proud, you two!
