A few weeks ago we told you about the artistic wonder that is Norman Reedus’ (Daryl Dixon) book of photographs, uniquely titled The Sun's Coming Up ... Like a Big Bald Head. The book has been available for pre-order for several weeks, but wasn’t formally released until yesterday, October 31.
Vulture got a sneak peek at Norman’s work of art — which consists of various photographs he’s snapped over the years while traveling around the world for modeling gigs and between various sets — and we’re pleasantly surprised by The Walking Dead star’s keen artistic eye.
The book, which features a few photos from The Walking Dead set has several haunting shots, many from Norman’s travels around Eastern Europe and Russia. It’s already received high praise from Norman’s TWD co-star and friend, Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes).
“These photos are capricious,” Andy told ComicBook.com of the book. “One moment brutal, the next beautiful, sexual, and vulnerable in equal measure. In the blink of an eye, innocence turns to experience and everywhere there are masks… Some of the most liberating and exuberant photos involve masks. But my favourite images are playful and bewitching.”
Don’t believe Andy? Head on over to Vulture and take a peek at some of the photos for yourself. All of the photos are intriguing, but as fans of The Walking Dead, we’re partial to “End of Sofia” (slide 4) which we think show’s Hershel’s barn burning like we saw it on the Season 2 finale.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
