Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage has been unraveling for months, with their drama playing out on social media and in the pages of magazines, but it seems the couple may have been hinting at the cracks in their foundation long before reports of drugs and affairs became public.
On this week’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the stress between the husband and wife duo is palpable when Khloe leaves home for a relaxing camping trip with Bruce, Rob, and a handful of the Jenner kids, only to find herself bombarded by phone calls from Lamar.
In the episode, Khloe keeps getting calls from Lamar, who doesn’t seem to believe she’s where she says she is, despite being backed up by Bruce.
When the family begins to discuss Cory Monteith’s death, Khloe starts defending those plagued by drug addiction.
“You know being a drug addict is a disease,” she tells Bruce, who calls the actor’s passing a “waste of a life.”
After being unable to get in touch with Lamar, Khloe says, in a confessional segment, Khloe,
“I’ve been down this road probably way more times than I’d like to admit. If someone wants to leave, they want to leave … You’re not my child, I can’t lock you in a room — as much as I would like to.”
While Lamar’s alleged drug addiction is serious business, it does seem convenient that so much of his bad behavior was caught by E! cameras — and that Khloe was so open about their marital strife.
Do you think Lamar’s problems are going to become another plotline for the show?
