On November 4, Team Adam Levine powerhouse singer James Wolpert gave an acoustic rendition of “A Case of You” by Joni Mitchell. James decided to perform a stripped down version of the song to show off his vocal range from his acapella days and eclectic tastes. Adam told James to forget about his slightly shaky performance in the knockouts and do his best.

The former computer technician took the stage with just his guitar to sing the soft melody, to the love of the audience. Coach Blake Shelton admitted to the singer that he was on the fence with James due to his performance in the knockout rounds where James didn’t do his absolute best, but he thought that he blew him away.

Christina Aguilera told James that he really grounded himself into the song, and made it a safe haven and heart warming to watch with this stripped version, while Cee Lo Green told James that his image and voice was an irony that was truly attractive and that he gave a great performance.

Finally Adam told his singer that he bounced back from his former performance and did something that was bold, and elegant and that he couldn’t be more proud of him.

What did you think of James’s performance tonight? Tell us below!
