Last night, on Week 8’s Cher Night, Brant and Peta Murgatroyd ended up with straight 9s for their Foxtrot but lost to Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani in the Dance-Off Challenge. We have no way of knowing if those three extra Dance-Off points might’ve saved the day, but it’s too late to do anything about it anyway.
Brant and Peta always look like they just stepped out of a catalogue, and their classy goodbyes were just as picture perfect.
After the show, Brant tweeted, "I'm sad I had to leave the show but I'm so grateful for the opportunity and for every single person who voted for us. I love you all ... And to my dear @PetaMurgatroyd — you taught me so much about myself. Words could never describe what you've done for me. I love you."
Aww! Peta also said farewell in her own series of tweets: "This season has meant the world to me… I am so sad that I can't show one more week of @brantdaugherty 's incredible talent… he has proved That a non dancer CAN make it far and I've been so privileged to watch America fall in love with him. Thank you for all the love and Support thus far... @brantdaugherty and I have had so much fun performing every week. #grateful I have a friend forever :)" Sniff!
Brant also shared the sad — but still poster-worthy — photo shown while on GMA this morning. "Just hung up my dancing shoes at Good Morning America with @petamurgatroyd and we're not happy about it." We’ll miss you, Brant!
