CMA Awards 2013: Blake Shelton Wins Male Vocalist of the Year

It was a big night for country music lovers at the 47th Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 6, 2013, and the man of the hour was none other than Blake Shelton, who took home the coveted Male Vocalist of the Year Award!

The 37-year-old "Boys 'Round Here" singer was up against a talented crop of country crooners, including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and Keith Urban.

"I won it!" Blake said as he accepted his award on-stage, just moments after his wife, Miranda Lambert, won Female Vocalist of the Year. "My gosh. Not to just completely echo the words of Miranda but I swear I didn't think this would happen this year — but it did!"

This is Blake's fourth consecutive win in this category. Earlier in the night, he won Album of the Year for Based on a True Story — the same award Miranda received in 2010 for Revolution beating out Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Little Big Town.

Do you think Blake deserved to win Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2013 CMA Awards? Vote below!
