no one can hear you sing. Guess no one told Lady Gaga that.
Us Weekly reports that the 27-year-old pop superstar is set to become the first person to sing in outer space — going into orbit aboard the Virgin Galactic spaceship during the Zero G Colony tech festival in New Mexico in early 2015 and singing one song.
We guess Us means that she'll become the first person to actually give a performance in orbit — since we're sure more than a few NASA astronauts have entertained themselves on long spacewalks with a little ditty.
But even singing just one of her masterpieces will prove challenging for the ARTPOP singer because of the conditions.
"She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," the magazine's source explains.
Mother Monster will blast off at dawn on the third day of the festival, which the magazine describes as a celebration of "world-class entertainment and cutting-edge technology."
Now all that's left is to wonder which of her many hits the Fame Monster will belt out it the cosmos: "Bad Romance"? "Applause"? We think the most fitting choice for such a historic and "heavenly" feat might be "The Edge of Glory."
