Sorry, Bristol Palin! Levi Johnston Files for Custody of Son Tripp
Life’s a Tripp for Bristol Palin, but life with Tripp just got a bit more uncertain. The reality star — daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin — could potentially lose sole custody of her young son, Tripp. People reports that the boy’s father, Levi Johnston, filed a petition last month seeking equal custody.
The way things are in Bristol and Levi’s current agreement, she gets primary physical custody, while the two share legal custody. If Levi’s petition goes through, he would share physical custody of his son. However, Bristol’s attorney, John Tiemessen, tells People that Levi owed his client about $66,000 in child support.
For a while, Bristol had moved to Los Angeles and was raising her son there. She had her own Lifetime reality series, Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp, which aired in the summer of 2012. Later that fall, she appeared on Dancing With The Stars Season 15 that fall. In the time since, she appears to have moved back to Alaska.
Levi currently lives in Alaska with his wife, Sunny Ogelsby, whom he married in October 2012. The couple has a daughter, Breeze Beretta — yes, like the gun — who is a little over a year old.
