Kyle Richards

Kyle Richards Returns to Acting Roots By Guest-Starring on Days of Our Lives!

Kyle Richards has been known more reality TV than actual acting roles of late, but she's dusting off her thespian skills and appearing on two episodes of an NBC soap opera this week. Go, Kyle!

Kyle will appear on Days of Our Lives on November 11 and 12. She is playing Casey McGraw, a modeling agent who comes arrives in Salem to nab Gabi (Camila Banus).

So how did this come about for Kyle? "I still work, so my manager submitted me for the role," she tells Glamour. "[My character is] very business-y, kinda pushy. I'm trying to get Gabi to sign on that dotted line!"

As you may recall, Kyle and sister Kim Richards did quite a bit of acting in their younger days, as Kyle appeared in the '70s horror classic Halloween and had a recurring role on Little House on the Prairie. More recently, she played Nurse Dori on 21 episodes of ER and was on an episode of CSI last year. She also has a small role in the upcoming comedy, The Hungover Games.

Kyle is asked if Days or RHoBH is more of a soap opera. "Well, I don't know," she says. "We’ve dealt with so much stuff, like my sister's alcoholism, the suicide of Taylor’s husband, or divorce. It’s just real issues, and it has been difficult. We’re all a part of each other’s lives, so I don’t know, it’s pretty comparable."

Meanwhile, Kyle says Bravo wants a spin-off focused on herself and husband Mauricio's home life, but she won't do it. "Oh, they’ve already asked!" Kyle reveals. "They want a spin-off! I don’t want my husband on [any more] television. I don’t want that. [My husband and kids] don’t have aspirations to be on TV."

So how will Kyle do on a soap? We can't wait to find out!
