To recap, the body later identified as Alison’s was found in the ground behind her former home, aka the spot Ali’s attacker left her to die before Mrs. Grunwald pulled the girl from the ground. If the Rosewood police department found and identified a body as her own, that means Ali either needed to have a dead body on hand and plenty of money to bribe the coroner or just a lot of money to bribe lots of people. We’re guessing it's the former as not everyone is bribe-able and, the more people who know about a secret, the less likely it is to stay secret. (After all, two can keep a secret if one of them is dead, amirite?)
Which leads us to a vital question in the “How Ali faked her own death” debate: Whose body did the Rosewood PD dig up and identity as Alison DiLaurentis’? Of course, the easiest person to use in a fake death would be your identical twin, and rumors abound on the interweb regarding the possibility of a twin named Courtney. If it was Courtney’s body the PD found, did Ali kill her own twin? Because, yikes. Another possible identity for the corpse is Marion Cavanaugh, aka Toby’s Radley-bound mother. She allegedly committed suicide, but seems to have some sort of connection to the “A” game and/or Alison. How are these two events connected?
Ali is clever, but it’s unlikely that she pulled off her faked death all on her lonesome. Who might her accomplice(s) have been? The late Detective Wilden is at the top of our list of suspects. Not only did he hang out with Ali in Cape May the summer before her disappearance, but he changed the details of the police report on Marion Cavanaugh’s suicide. Also, someone murdered him. Could it have been the same person who is after Ali? We also wonder if CeCe helped her best frenemy pull off the ultimate magic trick. She was acting as a Red Coat decoy in Ravenwood, which implies she might be helping Ali evade “A”’s clutches. She was also seen spying on “A” himself (assuming Ezra is "A"), which implies she is working against him on Team Ali.
