Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick looked less-than-thrilled to be snapped by shutterbugs during a trip to New York on Monday — and with good reason.
The couple has been going through a tough time over the past few weeks following the death of Scott’s mother Bonnie, who passed away in late October at age 63, following a lengthy battle with illness.
Kourtney, who accompanied Scott to the East Coast just last week for Bonnie’s funeral, held on the family’s native Long Island, appeared tense in the paparazzi photo, despite what seemed to be an effort on her part to get his mind off of the recent tragedy.
To aid in efforts to relax and recharge, Kourney and Scott visited some of their favorite haunts, as she explained on her website.
“Scott and I started our day at one of our favorite NYC restaurants, Bar Pitti. Then, we went all over SoHo and Tribeca to some boutiques I had been hearing about,” she wrote. “We checked out the new Kirna Zabete location, Patron of the New, and DASH SoHo of course! I always love stopping into DASH when I am in NYC. The store looked perfect!”
While Scott may be trying to inject some fun into his routine following the loss of his mother, even dressing up as an old man for an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians over the weekend, sources close to the pair claim that he’s “devastated” by Bonnie’s death.
