The Voice’s Michelle Chamuel Previews Debut Single — Listen Here!

The Voice has drawn criticism for not having produced many big stars to date but a few of their recent alums seem poised to change that. Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery is going to perform her debut single, “The Heart Of Dixie,” on CW’s (aptly named) Hart of Dixie on the November 25 episode. Right on the heels of this news is the release of runner-up Michelle Chamuel’s debut single, “Go Down Singing."

EW offered up a preview of the song today by the quirky Team Usher contestant who won the hearts of viewers with her glowing personality, signature specs, and impressive Cyndi Lauper and Pink covers.

“I feel so fortunate to be sharing 'Go Down Singing' as my first single,” Michelle said in a statement. “It was created with two of my close friends, producer team Theo Katzman and Tyler Duncan, and celebrates the poignant truth that in each of us is the potential to shine.”

The song starts out with a lovely violin sequence and builds to a powerful crescendo with its anthemic quality. Michelle's vocals have a Selena Gomez quality to them but we dare say much better (sorry, Selena). The drum sequence at the end is truly unique. Honestly, there’s not much about this song we don’t like, and we think she could be an up-and-comer on the music scene.

Take a listen to the song. Do you think it could be a hit? Let us know in the comments!
