The Hunger Games: Sam Claflin Talks “Bro-ho-mance” With Jennifer Lawrence
There’s nothing like facing down death in a high-tech arena to bring people together. Well, unless you count starring in a worldwide blockbuster movie franchise.
Sam Claflin, who plays District 4 victor Finnick Odair in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, recently chatted with PopSugar about the close bond he forged with fellow co-stars Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) while shooting the long awaited sequel.
On befriending fellow leading man Josh, Sam teases “I think Jenn may be [jealous]. I hope. That was the intention. The only reason I’m getting close to Josh is to make Jenn jealous. No, that’s a lie.”
In fact, Sam says the trio gets along swimmingly.
“There’s kind of a bro-ho-mance between all three of us.” We’re going to overlook Sam somewhat calling J.Law a “ho” since it seems his heart’s in the right place with him adding, “We all got on like a house on fire.” Or, you know, a girl on fire.
Sam didn’t elaborate on the kind of goofy activities the three buds get up to but he had no problem sharing his beauty regimen. For his role as the smooth-talking, cold-blooded killer, Sam had to go hairless.
“Shaving my chest was one of them,” he says of tricks he learned on set. Makes it that much easier to get the blood off, right, Finnick?
