Once Upon a Time Season 3, Episode 8 Burning Questions

We love all of Once Upon a Time’s many, many mysteries, but sometimes it seems like each episode introduces more questions than answers. To that end, we’ve tackled the 10 biggest questions from this week’s episode in order to make sense of everything that happened.

Here are 10 burning questions from Season 3, Episode 8: “Think Lovely Thoughts.”

1. How will Gold get out of Pandora’s Box?

It’s never a good day when your dad turns you into a red mist and traps you in a tiny box. Trust us. We were hoping that Pandora’s Box would be used to thwart Pan, but now that Pan has control of the box, we’re wondering how Gold will get out.

2. What’s the deal with the shadow?

We always knew that the shadow was creepy, but we just assumed he was working for Peter Pan. Now, we know that Pan made a deal with the shadow to let him become a boy in exchange for the shadow taking Rumple. But what exactly does the shadow want? And on a side note, we’re jealous of the shadow because he never has to wear pants.

3. Will the shadow help our heroes?

The shadow hasn’t seemed to be all that friendly to our heroes as of yet. But now that Pan is on the verge of becoming immortal, we’re thinking the shadow might want to stop him. And since Neal has the shadow in the coconut shell, we’re hoping maybe the shadow will strike up a deal with Neal and his pals to stop Pan and save Henry and Gold.

4. Why did Henry believe Pan over his own family?

We know that Henry wants to save magic, but we never expected him to actually go along with Pan rather than listening to what his family was trying to say. Let’s just hope that it isn’t too late for Henry to survive and prevent Pan from becoming immortal.

5. Will Gold’s elixir actually save David?

Gold claims to be able to use the water from Neverland to make an elixir to save David from Dreamshade. However, Gold appears to be a bit hesitant about it, so we’re wondering if there will either be a side effect or if the elixir won’t quite work as Gold has promised.

6. Will Gold give up his heart to save Henry?

Gold appears ready to show how committed he is to saving Henry, so we have a feeling Gold will make some kind of sacrifice or grand gesture when he returns to human form. With Henry in need of a heart, will Gold donate his own to Henry?

7. How did Wendy get to Neverland?

Wendy reveals that she came to Neverland to save Neal, which is pretty adorable. But how did she get there, and how did she get separated from Michael and John? We’re guessing Wendy wouldn’t have been taken to Neverland by the shadow, unless there are some “Lost Girls” on the island that we don’t know about yet.

8. Will Wendy become older after she leaves Neverland?

Wendy and Neal could be cute together, but a romance obviously wouldn’t happen if Wendy stays her current age. So we’re wondering if Wendy will somehow end up closer to her brothers’ ages when she leaves Neverland, which would allow for a possible Neal-Emma-Wendy love triangle.

9. Will Emma and Regina team up for more magic?

It was pretty awesome to see Emma and Regina performing magic together as they blocked out the moon, thanks to Emma’s explanation about how the moon creates shadows. Bill Nye the Science Guy would be proud. We’re thinking that the two will use their powers again to somehow save Henry and/or Gold.

10. Does this mean we won’t be meeting Tiger Lily?

We’ve already gotten to meet a number of classic Neverland characters, including Tink and Smee. We had also hoped to meet Tiger Lily, but as the Neverland action appears to be winding down, we’re not so sure if that’s ever going to happen. Sadness.
