Former NBA Star Cliff Robinson Could Be Joining The Next Season of Survivor
Things could get very interesting on the upcoming 28th season of Survivor if the rumors of former NBA star Cliff Robinson joining are true. That’s right, we’re talking about the Portland Trail Blazer three-pointer king with a love for the green stuff. Could it be true?
The kind folks at Grantland have done some of the leg work for us and probed into these rumor board whispers. While his name is being consistently listed in spoiler blogs, they’ve also noted that Cliff was basically radio silent on his social media for some time this summer, which could indicate that he was inhabiting an island somewhere.
If it’s true that the 46-year-old basketball pro is part of this new crew, we could be in for some entertaining challenges ahead. We are talking about one of only three players in NBA history that are 6’10’’ or taller with more than 1,200 three-pointers under his belt. We imagine that hand-eye coordination could be of some use. Plus, he will go down as one of the tallest contestants of all time, right behind Survivor: Australian Outback’s 7-foot Mitchell Olsen.
We will continue to keep you posted if these rumors are officially confirmed. In the meantime, we’ll just have to keep ourselves entertained imagining Probst next to an NBA giant.
