Demi Lovato Sacrifices Her Privacy in Her New Book to Help Fans
Actress, singer, X Factorjudge, and now author, Demi Lovato released her new book Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year last week to tell the story of her journey overcoming addiction and depression.
And if sharing her struggles, no holds barred, will help someone else who’s going through what she’s been through, then Demi’s willing to go all in.
“I’m not the type of person that loves the fame aspect of it,” Demi told E! Newsat a signing for her new book over the weekend. “I would rather sacrifice my privacy to help people, not just with my music. Strictly from this point of view, from an inspirational point of view of sharing my story. I know that I have a purpose in the world.”
In Staying Strong, Demi has put together a year’s worth of daily affirmations, including quotes and goals, that have helped her stick to that purpose and keep working toward recovery.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share this book,” Demi said. “It is my hope that these affirmations will help readers to remain strong and hopeful, even when that seems impossible.”
We’re so glad Demi’s on the path to recovery — and excited to learn what staying strong and keeping positive means in her own words. Go Dems!
