The word from the official PLL camp is actually not terrible. Marlene King told E! Online: “Haleb is in flux, but those two love each other. It's been such a roller coaster ride this year for our couples, and for us when we create the show.” “In flux...does that mean they will be fluxing out of a committed relationship, or just trying to adapt to the long-distance thing? Tell us your secrets, King!
Unfortunately, we know we will be getting a “super emotional” Haleb scene in the winter premiere — i.e. possibly a breakup. “Getting super emotional for PLL tonight with @tylerjblackburn. Gooooood scenes,” Ashley tweeted after an intense day of filming -- and she wasn’t the only one to be affected by the winter premiere scene. “I have a lump in my throat,” Tyler tweeted back. “I love you, babe.” Marlene and director Chad Lowe also commented on the scene, raising it to truly epic status. We hate to say it, guys, but it sounds like it could mark the end of an era.
Whatever goes down in the PLL winter premiere, it doesn’t stop Hanna from visiting Ravenswood in Season 1, Episode 10 of the spin-0ff show. Last week, Ashley was in New Orleans to film her scenes. Does Hanna visit Ravenswood as Caleb’s ex-girlfriend, as his current girlfriend, or perhaps, as an ex-girlfriend hoping to become his girlfriend again? Whatever their relationship status, we just hope Hanna makes it in and out of Ravenswood unharmed. That town is dangerous.
We’re not the only ones who are wondering how Hanna’s trip to Ravenswood will happen. Ashley told E! Onlinethat Haleb is "kind of in a rocky place in the show,” and that — before reading the Ravenswood script — she wasn’t sure what Hanna was doing there: “I'm like, wait are we together? Are we not together? What am I doing? Am I crying? I don't even know what I'm doing.” Yikes! Does this mean Hanna and Caleb will leave things open-ended in the PLL winter premiere? We’re not sure if our hearts can take it!
Marlene King did drop one hint about Hanna’s Ravenswood appearance. When asked how she would describe it, she told Twitter, “Teddy bears.” At the time, the clue didn’t make a lot of sense, but — after seeing the Ravenswood fall finale— it gives us hope. In the episode, Caleb and Hanna have a phone convo in which they make plans to eat take-out and “cuddle like teddy bears” upon Caleb’s return to Rosewood. Is this Marlene’s way of saying things will work out between these two in the Ravenswood season finale? Because, that sounds nice.
