X Factor 2013: Who Went Home? — November 28 Thanksgiving Double Elimination

Double eliminations never seem to get any easier. We're now on our third week of saying goodbye to two contestants back-to-back and it was even harder this week what with it being Thanksgiving and all. One upside: At least they had all the comfort food their broken hearts might require.

So who went? We'll get to that, don’t worry, but first can we talk about how great Demi Lovato’s performance was? We've been hoping The X Factor judge and mentor, not to mention international superstar, would grace the X stage sooner rather than later and finally our dreams came true. And on Turkey Day nonetheless! Girlfriend rocked the house and proved why she deserves her spot on the X Factor judging panel.

Okay, now back to the sad stuff. We first said goodbye to Lillie McCloud. Her Big Band performance on November 27 just didn’t measure up, but that hardly means she isn't talented. We know we'll miss ya, Lillie!

Then, for this week's Bottom Two, we had the two youngest competitors in the competition square off: Josh Levi and Rion Paige. It was a real rumble (no, not the kind your stomach made right before digging into Thanksgiving dinner). Rion of Demi's team picked Pink's "Perfect" (the clean version) to perform, while Josh of Paulina Rubio's team took on "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars.

Who did the judges decide to keep? It was a tie, with America's vote going for Rion. That makes the Top 6 as follows:

Boys (Paulina Rubio): Carlito Olivero

Girls (Demi Lovato): Ellona Santiago, Rion Paige

Over 25s (Kelly Rowland): Jeff Gutt

Groups (Simon Cowell): Restless Road, Alex & Sierra

What do you make of the final decisions? Both good calls, one doesn't make sense, or totally blindsided by the whole show? Sound off in the comments below!
