The Walking Dead Season 4 mid-season finale was loaded with death, and we’re still reeling from the passings of Hershel, Meghan, Alisha, Mitch, and yes, even The Governor. In the mid-season finale Team Prison and The Gov. finally faced off, and in the end the one-eyed villain was dead, while Rick’s group’s home was destroyed.
The AMC show will take a short break, before returning with the back eight episodes of Season 4 on February 9, 2014. We’ve got a promo of the second half of the season below, and it shows a whole bunch of chaos ahead.
We see Carl walking alone, Beth with a blazing fire behind her, Rick looking at his injured face, and more. Some of the footage looks like it may have been from the first half of the season, but we do see some characters in the promo whose fates were uncertain at the end of the finale.
Tyreese is seen hacking away at walkers (again?!) and Sasha and Bob Stookey are walking uphill, seemingly in search of the bus that left the prison without them.
In the promo’s final moments, Carl is banging on a door, yelling at whoever is behind it to “wake up.” Is he talking to Rick, who is bound to be inconsolable if Baby Judith is really dead? Could he be talking to one of the Greene girls, who are surely taking Hershel’s death very hard? We won’t know for sure until February, but feel free to start speculating below!
The Walking Dead Season 4 resumes on February 9, 2014, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
