Wedding bells are ringing, Grey's Anatomy fans, but will they be the death toll for April (Sarah Drew) and Matthew? Will her latent feelings for Jackson (Jesse Williams) sabotage her marriage to the earnest paramedic? That's the big question as we head into the midseason finale, the last episode of the medical drama we'll get for three months.
And the promo for Season 10, Episode 12 — "Get Up, Stand Up" — is milking that question for all it is worth. April seems to be in full freak-out mode, and is wandering around the hospital in curlers with a panicked expression. "Are you bailing on the wedding?" Cristina (Sandra Oh) asks her.
"One bridezilla turns everyone into monsters," the narration teases as we see shots of all the doctors in stressful situations.
"The last five minutes will have you begging for more all winter along," the narration concludes as we hear Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) say, "Oh my god!"
Here's the synopsis ABC has to offer:
"On the day of April's wedding, the Grey Sloan Memorial doctors are all preoccupied with their own drama. Meredith [Ellen Pompeo] and Cristina [Sandra Oh] continue to argue about their research and careers, Bailey [Chandra Wilson] comes clean to Ben [Jason George] about her feelings regarding him moving back to Seattle, and Shane [Gaius Charles] puts himself in a risky situation. Meanwhile, Derek [Patrick Dempsey] gets a phone call that will change his life, on the winter finale of Grey's Anatomy."
We need to know what news that call brings, stat!
Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 12 — "Get Up, Stand Up" — airs Thursday, December 12, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
