Glee Season 5, Episode 8 “Previously Unaired Christmas” — Best and Worst Songs

Glee manages to pack an insane number of songs into each episode, which means there will always be a few standouts, along with the inevitable dud or two. We've narrowed all six of the performances from Season 5, Episode 8: “Previously Unaired Christmas,” down to the very best and the coulda-done-without. Do you agree with our picks?

Best Performance of the Night: “Here Comes Santa Claus” by Kurt, Rachel, and Santana

It’s always difficult to pick our favorite holiday Glee performance. But there’s no way we weren’t going to choose this one, with three of our favorite Glee singers teaming up for amazing harmonies in their peppy rendition of this classic. If only the malls in our neighborhood had Christmas entertainment like this.

Worst Performance of the Night: “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)” by Kurt, Santana, Rachel, and Cody

Sure, we get that this is just a silly ditty. But it still wouldn’t be right to choose any other song performance this week as the worst, considering that this ill-advised mess exists. And is Glee trying to encourage its viewers to trip out on noxious fumes this holiday season? Needless to say, we can hardly stand the wait for this performance to stop scaring us.

I would have chosen differently!

I agree!
