The original Material Girl is back on the market. Madonna and her beau of just over three years, Brahim Zaibat, have called their relationship quits, according to an Us Weekly report.
At age 55, Madonna was three decades older than her 25-year-old dancing lad. A source tells Us that their relationship simply “ran its course.” Or, you know, Madonna got fed up having to explain her various allusions to '80s pop culture.
The two former lovebirds first met in late 2010 when Brahim performed with Madonna’s now-17-year-old daughter Lourdes at a Macy’s fashion event, says Us. He later joined her MDNA world tour as a backup dancer. “They were dancing and working together all the time and then they barely saw each other,” says the Us insider.
Unlike some of Madonna’s other relationships, she and Brahim kept their private life relatively private, only rarely spotted out together or showing off any kind of PDA. Their last red carpet appearance together was back in May at New York City’s Met Gala, says Us.
Despite the recent breakup, we doubt Madonna, the world’s highest-paid musician and an international pop icon, will be single for long. Brahim, meanwhile, will have his current stint on the French version of Dancing With The Stars to focus on. We doubt Madonna will be watching.
