Things are starting to come to a head on Braxton Family Values Season 3B as the tensions between the sisters rise, and another sister has to learn the difference between business and not-so-much pleasure.
Towanda plans her birthday party. Towanda Braxton makes the announcement that she’s going to ring in her 40th birthday in style with a School Daze-themed birthday gala, including a rendition of the iconic musical performance “Be Alone Tonight” performed by she and her sisters Trina, Toni, Traci, and Tamar Braxton. As Towanda continues to plan, she begins to find things get a little stressful as her party planners misspell her name on her props, the budget is going out of control, and the bartenders — that she’s booked from Trina’s new business — are still M.I.A. As you can imagine, Towanda is not pleased.
Trina learns to balance her business with her soon-to-be ex-husband. Trina is learning that working with her husband (who she’s currently filing divorce from) is more stressful than it seems. While away on her tour, Trina left her new business, Bar Chicks, in the hands of Gabe, who at this point has been working for free. When Gabe tells Trina that he needs to be paid for his services (monetary or otherwise *wink, wink*), Trina appears to find the request strange. When Gabe asks Trina if Towanda will be paying for the Bar Chicks services, she brushes him off, but not before he tells her that he will be drafting her a fee for his work — now that they’re filing for divorce and he can’t work for her (or her family) for free.
Towanda and Tamar face off. Tamar joins Trina in Atlanta to meet Towanda at the venue for her birthday, Tri-Cities High School (where Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Kandi Burruss attended), to go over the dance routine. One there, Tamar is not happy but the request to help with the props, and once she learns that she and Trina will be the only sisters practicing as Towanda was running late (and Toni and Traci both being busy), she becomes highly annoyed.
When Towanda finally arrives, Tamar complains about how rushed the performance is and says she’s got more important things to do than this seemingly impromptu performance. When Towanda tells her baby sister that she’s known about her duties for the party for months, Tamar retorts that it had been months since they last spoke, and Trina admits that the sisters haven’t been communicating as best of they possibly could. When the show ended, we could tell that and all-out war between Towanda and Tay-Tay was definitely brewing.
