After tonight’s epic midseason finale of Once Upon a Time — Season 3, Episode 11: “Going Home” — we’re going to be sitting on the edge of our seat waiting for our favorite magical series to return. With the fate of our fairy tale characters hanging in the balance while Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) are living their Storybrooke-free lives in New York City, it’s going to be a long wait for our burning questions to be answered. But when does Once Upon a Time return from its long winter hiatus?
Sit tight, Once Upon a Time fans! You’re going to be waiting until March 9 until we can see an all-new episode of our favorite show. But that long wait does come with a perk: When Once returns, we’re not going to be interrupted by any repeat episodes until the season finale. That means that once the show comes back, it’s smooth sailing up until what’s sure to be an epic Season 3 finale.
The first episode post-hiatus for Once has an appropriate title: “New York City Serenade.” Given the fact that Emma and Henry are currently living in NYC one year after Storybrooke disappears, we’re hoping the Big Apple is going to be the setting for the return episode. Since Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) has arrived at Emma’s door and tells her that her family is in danger, we expect convincing Emma and Henry of their fairy tale family is going to be quite the task.
