The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter Explains Her Decision to Go on Marriage Boot Camp
Have you heard the news? Our favorite and longest-standing Bachelorette couple is returning to the small-screen next year.
Trista andRyan Sutter, who met, fell in love, and exchanged multiple roses on Season 1 of The Bachelorette, will soon be gracing our television screens on a reality show called Marriage Boot Camp. But not to worry, while Trista and Ryan claim they have “difficulty communicating,” these two lovebirds are happier than ever.
“We want to show people that how long you’ve been married, no matter how happy you are — because Ryan and I are the happiest we’ve ever been, truly — you have to work on your marriage,” Trista told Access Hollywood about her decision to attend televised couple’s therapy. “You have to put effort in. So what is the problem with actually working on it? There’s nothing wrong — we just want to be better.”
Trista and Ryan are so happy, in fact, that they just renewed their vows for an ABC special called The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories, set to air on January 19, 2014.
The couple got married the first time around on December 6, 2003 and have since had two children, Maxwell and Blakesley, together.
This time around, Trista claims her vows are much more subdued — but since this a Bachelor-affiliated event, we have trouble believing there won’t be fireworks and rose petals galore.
“There were no helicopters [this time],” Trista said. “It was a lot less glamorous, if you will.”
