Danity Kane is officially back in action — well, most of them, anyway.
On December 16, the girl band came back together for a performance to celebrate their comeback — their first concert in six years! — but one very important member was missing: D. Woods. Why?
According to TMZ, D says that not only was she not invited, but she was never told the reunion was happening and found out by reading TMZ. Ouch!
Apparently, D has been trying to get her former bandmates back together for a reunion since they split five years ago, but none of them ever expressed any interest… until now, of course.
And although D insists she’s got no idea why she was left out, Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day isn’t exactly shy about why D wasn’t invited back. Sunday night, she took to Instagram to post a picture from the group’s recent performance with a caption that said, “Do you spend your time takin interviews.. or do you work?”
D was quick to retaliate, retweeting Aubrey’s post and adding in her own two cents. “That was cute, @aubreyoday,” she said. “My attorney will be coming for my cut off that WORK #stillusingmyvocals.”
But don’t worry — the 29-year-old singer isn’t bitter. She wishes the girl group all the best with “the sound that I helped them create.” Wait, no, that sounds a little bitter.
Either way, D doesn’t have to rejoin Danity Kane to keep her career moving forward. In October, she released a music video for “Gold Mine,” her first single as a solo artist. You show ‘em, girl!
